I’m a big advocate of printing and framing photos. There’s just something magical about having tangible prints to frame and display, rather than just viewing images on a digital device. And did you know that displaying family photos at home has been shown to boost children’s self esteem?
I love the whole process — deciding what photos I want to print, deciding on the type and size of paper, and then going to my favorite local frame shop to pick out a custom frame.
While framing and hanging a single photo on the wall is fun and pretty easy, designing a whole gallery wall can seem like a daunting process. Deciding which photos to hang, whether to mix in other artwork, deciding on complementary or matching frames, and creating an aesthetically pleasing layout — it’s just a lot to think about.
So I was psyched when Redfin, the real estate platform known for its 1% commissions and superior technology, asked me to contribute to their round up of tips for creating your own gallery wall.

That’s so cool that Redfin asked you to contribute your tips!! It would be great if you wrote a full blog post about your approach to going from file on your computer to framed print! Let me know if you do! 🙂
That’s so awesome that you got to be a part of that guide! Congrats! Creating a gallery wall isn’t easy but it looks amazing.
